Our Story

Dar Deeja was born from a memory.

From a voice, a scent, a country told before it was known.

Deeja — Khadija — was my grandmother.

I grew up with her, between her stories of Algeria and our trips there.

She spoke of the cities, the mountains, the markets, the smells, the lights, of this mysterious and rich Riviera.

She spoke to me of the country with tenderness, mischief, and a memory full of life.

She loved animals.

Especially horses. And I grew up to the rhythm of their races, their breath, the sand, the sound of their hooves.

From the fantasia remained a fascination: the mastery, the momentum, the beauty of the gesture, the silent honor.

Monkeys, lions, gazelles, and many of her eagle...

Symbols, presences, almost spirits.

They watch over my visuals as they watched over her stories.

Dar Deeja — Deeja's house — is a tribute.

To her, to our roots, to an intimate Algeria.

To a heritage passed down in details, memories, silhouettes, laughter, landscapes.

I create clothes like one keeps a trace.

Elegant, sometimes sport chic, always easy to wear.

Pieces that discreetly tell of a country, a woman, a childhood, a light.

Dar Deeja is my way of continuing her stories.

And carrying them with me, every day.
